This way you can be guaranteed that the unit will function for you, and in addition take advantage of the inexpensive price.  Unfortunately, sometime these warranties can be really expensive so be careful to not pay more for  a used unit than you would for a new one.

Trying to fix and elliptical with pieces and parts not designed for it is a very bad idea as many of the components rely on each other to function properly. However, it is better to call the manufacturer of the machine when getting a warranty to make sure that they will honor the warranty as you will only want to get approved and original parts for your reconditioned elliptical trainer.
